In the UDT testing method, it uses frequencies commonly in the range of 2MHz to 10MHz. In the test piece, the sound will travel through a medium like steel at a specified speed or velocity in a predictable direction, and when it encounters a boundary, the ultrasound wave will reflect or transmit. This helps in the easy identification of porosities, inclusions, cracks, or discontinuities that can impact customer satisfaction.
Visual inspection
Just like chemical inspection and physical inspection, it is important to have a visual inspection for qualifying the industry standards. It is a simple and effective method for quality control. In this, the TMT bar manufacturers examine the surface of TMT steel bars for any defects or deformities. Corrosion test
