Sales Head

The Sales Head – Bihar will be responsible for driving and managing the sales operations and growth of Ultramax TMT within the state of Bihar. This leadership role involves strategic planning, business development, team management, and performance optimization to ensure that the company achieves its sales targets, expands market share, and strengthens its brand presence in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development:
  1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets within the Bihar region.
  2. Analyze market trends, competition, and customer preferences to adjust sales tactics accordingly.
  3. Ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall company goals and objectives.
  • Team Leadership & Management:
  1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales executives, managers, and distributors across Bihar.
  2. Set clear sales targets, track team performance, and provide guidance and training to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to keep the team motivated and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Market Expansion & Client Acquisition:
  1. Identify and capture new business opportunities within the region.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, dealers, distributors, and stakeholders.
  3. Negotiate agreements, pricing, and terms with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
  1. Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
  2. Monitor sales performance against set targets and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  3. Analyze key sales metrics, report on market dynamics, and identify areas for growth.
  • Brand Promotion & Product Knowledge: 
  1. Promote the TMT brand and products effectively within the region.
  2. Ensure the sales team is equipped with up-to-date product knowledge, selling techniques, and industry trends. Work hand – in – hand with
  3. Branding team and provide necessary inputs for advertising function.
  4. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions to boost brand visibility and establish relationships with new clients.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
  1. Manage and resolve customer queries and complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and building long-term partnerships.
  3. Develop customer retention strategies and improve client loyalty.
  • Budget & P&L Management:
  1. Manage sales budgets for the region and ensure cost-effective allocation of resources.
  2. Ensure that sales activities are aligned with the financial goals of the company and adhere to the overall P&L targets.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments:
  1. Coordinate with marketing, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely delivery and meet client expectations.
  2. Work with the finance team to ensure the accuracy of invoicing and payment collection processes.

Desired candidate profile:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the TMT industry, market dynamics, and competitor landscape.
  • Proficiency in sales tools and CRM systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to drive data-based decisionmaking.
  • Proven experience in managing a regional sales team and driving sales growth in a competitive market.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of sales experience in the Iron & Steel industry and / or building materials industry with at least 5-7 years in a leadership role.
